From the Oscar-nominated director of Winter's Bone, Debra Granik, the new drama stars Ben Foster and newcomer Thomasin Harcourt McKenzie.

Will (Ben Foster) and his teenage daughter, Tom (Thomasin Harcourt McKenzie), have lived off the grid for years in the forests of Portland, Oregon. When their idyllic life is shattered, both are put into social services. After clashing with their new surroundings, Will and Tom set off on a harrowing journey back to their wild homeland. Directed by Debra Granik, from a script adapted by Granik and Anne Rosellini, and based on the novel My Abandonment by Peter Rock.

"Foster’s performance is freighted with a tense, explosive dignity; Will is a good man undone by demons and his tragedy is his country’s. The most special effect in Leave No Trace, though, is McKenzie, a New Zealand-born actress who seems to have wandered in off a dirt road, eager to be alive." — Ty Burr, Boston Globe

"An absorbing, delicately directed and acted father-daughter drama." — Jon Frosch, Hollywood Reporter

"Once again, Granik introduces us to a kind of family that cinema rarely captures believably, and she does so with a style that's both lyrical and realistic at the same time, anchored by a pair of unforgettable performances." — Brian Tallerico, RogerEbert.com
