As a non-profit organization, the Coolidge Corner Theatre Foundation seeks volunteers among its members for a variety of short and long-term opportunities. Get paid in movie passes!
We need volunteers to:
- Adopt programs big and small, for ongoing events and series such as New Feature Opening Weekends, our Kids’ Shows, Senior Matinees, Divas in the Dark, Science on Screen, etc.
- Make membership pitches, presentations, and introductions at the microphone before screenings
- Greet and sign people up at the Membership table before and after screenings and events
- Moderate panels and Q&A sessions
- Help with events: set up, serve refreshments, take email information, clean up
- Help with our market research initiative. Support includes phone calling, conducting brief customer satisfaction interviews, gathering data, etc.
- Organize and maintain web volunteer database
- Support film festivals and series (hosts and drivers)
- Conduct theater tours and help out at donor events
- Provide office, stage, and production support
- Work with a team of volunteers to drop off flyers in cafes/bookstores/video stores/clubs and music venues.
Our volunteer base represents the major non-staff support for all our outreach efforts. Our on-site volunteers initiate informed, friendly, and professional exchanges with our patrons, encourage dialogue among those here for our screenings and events, and serve as a general resource for our public. Above all, our volunteers play an important role in letting people know about what the Coolidge offers, helping to make the Coolidge experience a pleasurable one for each visitor.
