Tim JacksonTim Jackson studied theater as an undergraduate at Ithaca College, eventually receiving a BA in English from UMass Boston and a Masters in Education. He became a mainstay in Boston's music scene in the 70's and 80's performing , touring and recording with some 20 groups including Tom Rush, Robin Lane and the Chartbusters, LaVerne Baker, Jonathon Edwards, and his own band of 22 years the Band That Time Forgot. He has contributed drums to a number of John Sayles films and to other soundtracks for Mason Daring and Sheldon Mirowitz. He has collaborated on and directed two documentaries "Chaos and Order: Making American Theater" and the recently completed "Radical Jesters". He has taught film and culture at The New England Institute of Art for the past 12 years. Together with his students he helps curate the Naked Eye Student Film Festival each spring at the Coolidge and helps judge the student films at the Provincetown Film Festival. |
