Described by Demme as the “antidote” to last year’s Heart of Gold, this spontaneous and raw time capsule, shot during two nights of the Chrome Dreams II tour at the Tower Theater in Pennsylvania, is Neil Young in his natural element: unleashed, unrestrained, uninhibited, and very loud. This evening highlights Jonathan Demme's gift for directing extraordinary performance films. A generous and creative collaborator, he continues to share his enthusiasm for his favorite artists by bringing us into the performance in an original way. Among these artists is Robyn Hitchcock, who collaborated with Demme on the 1998 concert film Storefront Hitchcock, and has gone on to appear in The Manchurian Candidate and Rachel Getting Married.
