The gift of a new pet on Christmas is one that comes wrapped with extra responsibilities. Especially when that new pet is a Mogwai your Dad has just picked up from Chinatown. Young Billy Peltzer needed only to obey two simple rules regarding his cute and cuddly new friend; don't get him wet, and never, ever feed him after midnight. Whereas with a puppy, irresponsibility could simply result in an unhappy pet, failure to take proper care of a Mogwai could spawn a mischievous horde of little green monsters with an appetite for destruction...and Milk Duds.
