In conjunction with The American Repertory Theatre's "Sex, Satire, Romance, and Ducks: A David Mamet Celebration", the Coolidge presents this adaptation of AMERICAN BUFFALO. Director Michael Corrente will be in attendance for a Q and A following the film.

Donny (Dennis Franz) is the owner of an inner-city junk shop that acts as the plotting ground for numerous capers and get rich quick schemes that never actually see the light of day. He has lost the hope of one day rising above his lot in life. Teach (Dustin Hoffman), on the other hand, still holds out for some sort of ascension. Together, with the help of youngster Bobby, the two men come up with a plan that might not be worth executing.

"Sex, Satire, Romance, and Ducks: A David Mamet Celebration" runs at the American Repertory Theatre through June 28.
