THE PRINCESS BRIDE QUOTE-ALONGMon, Aug 11 @ 7:00 "Hello. My name is Inigo Montoya. You killed my father prepare to die." This thoroughly tongue-in-cheek and forever quotable swashbuckling fairytale involves love, a dread pirate, insanity-inducing cliffs, a princess, a wily Sicilian, a six-fingered count, ROUS (Rodents of Unusual Size), Fred Savage, and much, much more. Adapted for the screen by William Goldman from his equally hysterical and brilliant novel, and directed by Rob Reiner, THE PRINCESS BRIDE is an 80s classic filled with memorable performances, sharp wit, derring-do, and heaping helpings of romance. Of course, if you're reading this, chances are pretty good you know what THE PRINCESS BRIDE is all about and for years you all have been struggling to resist the urge to shout out line after glorious line of the movie's hilarious dialogue every time you watch it. Well friends, hold back no longer. With our first-ever "Quote-Along," the Coolidge is giving you the chance to come shout out all your favorite lines with a theatre full of fellow PRINCESS BRIDE fanatics. This screening will feature subtitles for selected lines so everyone can join in on the fun of shouting out quotes like "Anybody want a peanut?" Plus, there'll be even more opportunities for audience participation with props, pre-show contests, and other suprises. The night will be hosted by Henri Mazza from Austin's Alamo Drafthouse, the pop culture fanatic who's brought loads of sing-along insanity to our midnite programming with his "R. Kelly: Trapped in the Closet," "Moulin Rouge," "Boy Band," "Prince" shows. And speaking of his midnite sing-along madness, be sure not to miss the Monsters of Rock (Fri, Aug 8) and Madonnna (Sat, Aug 9) sing-alongs! (1987) dir. Rob Reiner, w/ Cary Elwes, Robin Wright, Christopher Guest, Mandy Patinkin, and Andre the Giant, 1h38m
