Blaze with Ethan Hawke in person
Friday, September 21

Four-time Academy Award nominee Ethan Hawke joins for opening night of his latest film as a director, Blaze. Hawke will be present for Q&As following the 3pm, 5pm, and sold-out 7pm shows, and will also introduce the 9:55pm show.
About Ethan Hawke
Ethan Hawke is a Tony and four-time Academy Award nominated actor and writer whose diverse career as a novelist, actor, director, and screenwriter spans more than three decades. Blaze is his most recent foray into directing, which he also wrote and produced, with his production company Under the Influence Productions. His other directing credits include Chelsea Walls, The Hottest State and the critically acclaimed documentary Seymour: An Introduction. Hawke starred in Paul Schrader’s acclaimed First Reformed and co-starred alongside Rose Byrne and Chris O’Dowd in the Judd Apatow produced romantic comedy Juliet, Naked based on the best-selling Nick Hornby novel of the same name.
Blaze and Juliet, Naked marked Hawke’s 12th and 13th films to screen at the Sundance Film Festival, with Blaze being the first time he attended as a director. He previously attended the festival for Ben Stiller’s Reality Bites, David Salle’s Search and Destroy, Peter McCarthy’s Floundering, Michael Almareyda’s Hamlet, Antoine Fuqua’s Brooklyn's Finest, Shari Springer Berman & Robert Pulcini’s 10,000 Saints, Rebecca Miller’s Maggie's Plan as well as Richard Linklater’s films Boyhood, Before Sunrise, Before Midnight and Tape.
