You'd never know from this film that Denmark is considered one of the world's happiest nations. At a formal birthday celebration, the eldest son gives a toast accusing his father of sexually abusing him and his twin sister. And that’s just for starters. Outrageous and astute, The Celebration was the first film made in accordance with Dogma 95 rules laid down by Danish directors Thomas Vinterberg and Lars Von Trier.
