Last year, the original V/H/S terrified audiences with relentless scares and its ingenious take on P.O.V. style horror. For this sequel, the frights have been fired up to apocalyptic proportions.

Private investigator Larry and his girlfriend Ayesha are hired to find a missing college student and instead discover a stack of mysterious videotapes in his seemingly abandoned house. As Larry explores the house, searching for clues to the student’s disappearance, Ayesha begins watching the videotapes, each of which contains bizarre evidence of supernatural events. What follows is a barrage of retinal implants, ghosts, zombies, cults, and alien abductions.

Director Adam Wingard’s Phase 1 Clinical Trials has a man receive a bionic eye that gives him a glimpse into the afterlife. In A Ride in the Park, the reanimated corpse of a mountain biker runs amok equipped with a GoPro helmet cam which captures every moment of his flesh-eating afterlife. The completely insane Safe Haven has a group of documentary filmmakers infiltrate a doomsday cult at the worst possible time. What follows is a series of satanic events that would chill Aleister Crowley to the bone. Finally in Slumber Party Alien Abduction, Jason Eisener plunges us into a backyard nightmare, where visitors from another world attack a group of kids while mom and dad are away.

V/H/S proved to be the perfect format for a found footage anthology. V/H/S/2 adjusts the tracking to give us an even clearer picture of impending doom.
