We’re celebrating Sir Paul McCartney’s birthday with a special event you won’t want to miss!

In early 1967, the Beatles released John Lennon’s “Strawberry Fields Forever” as a double A-side single with Paul McCartney’s “Penny Lane”.  In their music, lyrics, arrangement, and subject matter, these groundbreaking songs were a big step forward for the Beatles and for all of popular music.

Scott Freiman combines his love of the Beatles with his experience as a composer, producer, and engineer.  Join us as he takes Beatles fans on A Trip Through Strawberry Fields – Deconstructing the Beatles, a multimedia presentation that moves past the personalities of the Fab Four to uncover the reasons why their music continues to be loved by millions.  In A Trip Through Strawberry Fields, he transports the audience into Abbey Road studios for a fascinating look at the revolutionary techniques used during the production of “Strawberry Fields Forever”,“Penny Lane”, and a third Beatles masterpiece: Sgt. Peppers’ “A Day In The Life.” Using rare audio and video clips, as well as anecdotes about the creation of the songs, Freiman allows the audience to see and hear the evolution of these extraordinary songs from demos to final recordings, and discusses why they have had a lasting influence on popular music.
