What’s more hilariously cringe-worthy than angsty teen love poems and mopey diary entries? Watching grown-ups share them with an audience of strangers.

Mortified is back at The Coolidge with their annual Doomed Valentine’s Day show! One by one, brave men and women will take the stage to relive their tortured adolescence by sharing their very raw, very real, very funny teenage diaries, poetry, song lyrics, illustrations, and more. Prom drama! First kisses! Awkward flirting! Mortified tackles it all, one hilarious performer at a time.

Hailed a "cultural phenomenon" by Newsweek, and celebrated for years by the likes of The Today Show, The Onion AV Club, This American Life, and Entertainment Weekly, Mortified is a comic excavation of the strange and extraordinary things we created as kids.

The largest and longest-running project of its kind, Mortified produces comedic content for the stage, the screen, the page, and the web. Be sure to check out “Mortified Nation,” a documentary about this groundbreaking show, available now on Netflix.
