This film playfully documents a boy's visit to the Statue of Liberty and signals the difference between the ideals embodied in the monument and the culture of fear that can still dominate post 9/11 America.

About the Filmmaker

He has won multiple awards and glowing reviews as an independent filmmaker. He has directed many shorts and one critically acclaimed feature-length documentary called Scouts Are Cancelled (2007). He is currently developing a long-form documentary on poet Elizabeth Bishop. He is actively seeking responses to his most recent poem adaptation First Death in Nova Scotia.
