Lost Highway
Fri & Sat, April 26 & 27
2hr 14mins // directed by:David Lynch // featuring:Bill Pullman, Patricia Arquette, Balthazar Getty, Nick Nolte, Robert Loggia, Robert Blake
"We've met before, haven't we?"
David Lynch, the maestro of macabre, rejoined forces with Wild At Heart scribe Barry Gifford to create one of the creepiest and most twisted nightmares of Lynch's career with Lost Highway.
Bill Pullman is jazz saxophonist Fred Madison and Patricia Arquette is his wife, Renee. They begin to receive mysterious packages containing videotapes of their own house. Each tape brings the unknown peeper farther into their dwelling, ultimately resulting in a video recording of Renee's murder. After a speedy trial, Fred is locked up in solitary on death row, but funny things begin to happen and soon he has disappeared and in his place is Pete Dayton (Balthazar Getty), a young auto mechanic from Van Nuys.
How did Fred disappear? How and why did Pete replace him? Who is Dick Laurent and what does local gangster Mr. Eddy and his mol Alice Wakefield (Patricia Arquette) have to do with it all?
Join Lynch on a midnight ride to hell along the Lost Highway.
