Ladies and Gentlemen, the Fabulous Stains
Fri & Sat, May 24 & 25
1hr 27mins // directed by:Lou Adler // featuring:Diane Lane, Laura Dern, Marin Kanter // 35mm
Every girl should be given an electric guitar on her 16th birthday.
Corrine Burns (Diane Lane) has had it with life in her hometown. She convinces her sister and her cousin (Laura Dern) to hit the road, touring as their band The Stains. They score a gig opening for a washed up metal act and up and coming punk band The Looters (featuring members of The Clash and The Sex Pistols). After a rocky first show, Corrine adopts and more punk look, skunking her hair, and declaring that she "never puts out". But can the girls keep up with life on the road and in the spotlight?
This rarely screened cult classic is not to be missed on the big screen.
