I Finally Did It
Tuesday, October 11
1hr 00mins // directed by:Apostolos Paraskevas, Mathew Tucciarone
When Grammy nominated composer Apostolos Paraskevas was given a commission to write a music work for the Iserlohn Music Festival in Germany, he took it even further by making the short film I Finally Did It.
A peculiar film, part musical-comedy but a remarkable trip of friendship and artistic creativity. Directed by Apostolos and filmmaker Mathew Tucciarone, I Finally Did It soon after was transformed to a feature-length documentary that opens with the original short film and explores the power of friendship, music, and death. It features a soundtrack filled with Paraskevas' original music as performed by legendary conductors and world renowned musicians.
In 2010, I Finally Did It has won for feature-documentary a Silver Screen Award at the Nevada Film Festival in Las Vegas and a Gold Award in the California Film Awards in San Diego, California.
Filmmakers Apostolos Paraskevas and Mathew Tucciarone will be in attendance to present the film and hold a Q&A session immediately following the screening.
All seats $10.
