Dead Alive (Braindead)

A young man's mother is bitten by a Sumatran rat-monkey. She gets sick and dies, at which time she comes back to life, killing and eating dogs, nurses, friends, and neighbors.

As young Lionel desperately tries to keep his mother's demise (and resurrection) under wraps, the strange affliction spreads through his neighborhood, turning everyone into flesh eating zombies! Aided by the woman he loves, an ass-kicking priest, and a lawnmower, he must put his town back together again, even if that means chopping most of its inhabitants into pieces.
