A former summer camp caretaker, horribly burned from a prank gone wrong, lurks around an upstate New York summer camp bent on killing the teenagers responsible for his disfigurement.

The synopsis above doesn't really drive home just how amazing this rarely seen, Summer Camp slasher is. For starters, The Burning features some gore-iffic early special effects work from the King of Carnage, Tom Savini. The camp councilors here are some of the lewdest, most foul-mouthed fornicators to ever hump inside sleeping bags. Even the kids in their care join in on the smoking, cursing, and canoodling. It's almost hard to feel sorry for these perverts as their dismembered corpses begin turning up around the lake. Keep your eyes peeled for a young, and extremely hirsute Jason Alexander, and an even younger Holly Hunter (total babe). Highly recommended for fans of nudity, hedge clippers, actual man-o-lanterns, and fire.

This is a rare screening of a mint-condition, 35mm print of what is sure to become your preferred camp maniac flick!

A legend of terror isn't a campfire story anymore!
