About the Film

In this acclaimed romantic drama, Joel (Jim Carrey) and Clementine (Kate Winslet) turn to medically induced amnesia to get over their heartbreak after a breakup—only to fall in love all over again and repeat the same mistakes. Featuring eccentric performances by Kirsten Dunst, Mark Ruffalo, and Elijah Wood, and a haunting score by Jon Brion (Boogie Nights, Punch-Drunk Love), Michel Gondry’s emotionally fraught, sci-fi-inflected trip down the rabbit holes of memory won the Academy Award for Best Original Screenplay.
