This year’s films reflect a new generation’s exploration of age-old issues: the Holocaust, the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, and what it means to be Jewish in a non-Jewish world. Nor is the Festival short on comedic offerings.

More than 35 filmmakers, actors, film subjects, musicians, introducers and panelists participate actively in this year’s Festival. Screenings take place in 9 venues throughout Metro-Boston from October 27 to November 20.

The Festival screens 17 films at Coolidge Corner Theatre between November 6 and November 13.

If you enjoy the hit TV show Dancing with the Stars, director Barak Heymann’s documentary Dancing Alfonso will thrill you with flamenco at 9:00PM on November 10. Another Barak Heymann film, Bridge Over the Wadi, will be introduced on November 13 by Cynthia Cohen, Executive Director, Slifka Program in Intercommunal Coexistence, Brandeis University.

Don’t miss the groundbreaking and wildly funny prime-time Israeli TV show Arab Labor, presented at CCT in 3 screenings of multiple episodes.
